Description
The Nauticus Cast Aluminum Outdoor Wall Lamp is a nod to harbor light, borrowing the honest, industrial shapes of maritime sconces: a cast aluminum cage, a glass diffuser and lines built for weather. Scaled down and refined for the modern home, it softens its industrial past into something quietly handsome. Seven body finishes are offered, from forest green and deep barn red to matte black, brushed silver, warm gold, soft apricot and neutral grey.
The body is corrosion resistant cast aluminum with a powder coated finish, a sealed frosted glass shade and weatherproof gasketing, rated for porches, garden walls, garage entries and covered patios. Mounting under an eave or a covered area gives the longest service life and keeps it out of direct, prolonged rain or snow. It is not designed for submersion. The small size measures 8.3 by 3.9 by 3.9 inches (21 by 10 by 10cm) for arrays flanking doors or marking paths, and the large size measures 11 by 4.7 by 6.3 inches (28 by 12 by 16cm) for a single statement above an entry.
The fixture is hardwired, fits a standard single gang exterior wall box and looks balanced mounted vertically or horizontally. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended, with the wall junction sealed using exterior grade silicone. It takes one E26 medium base bulb, sold separately, and a warm white 2700K LED of 6 to 9W is ideal because it runs cool inside the enclosed shade.
